This site is dedicated to my friend Brandon and the more than 100,000 boys who live with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). I have known Brandon since we were in preschool together when his diagnosis was made.Today, he is 13 years old and is fading quickly. He has almost no strength, can not even use the restroom by himself and lifting a glass of water is an enormous effort..One day he will not be able to breathe on his own. He has not much time left and little hope. This site is to increase awareness about this horrible genetic disease and to encourage federal legislation that could allocate more resources for research to treat and cure DMD.

  My Friend Brandon

ALL boys with DMD die young- most often  during adolescence or early adulthood (in their 20's). WE NEED TO CHANGE THIS NOW! Why should Congress pay to build a bridge to no where when that money could save the lives of more than 100,000 boys alive today?

I am NOT asking for your money!

PLEASE include Brandon and the others afflicted with Duchenne in your prayers. PLEASE read and learn about DMD so that you can share the information with others. PLEASE let others know about this website. PLEASE send a letter to the senators listed below. (More about legislation for Duchenne's research under the LEGISLATION tab.) They can make a difference.YOU can make a difference by letting the senators know that you care. Write now, please, there is very little time left for Brandon and all of the boys afflicted with Duchenne's !

Each reader of this website- no matter your age- standing up for ONE boy with Duchenne's- ONE TO ONE!  We can save them.  Let the boys and their families know that they have your prayers and let the senators have your letters.

Join my guest book and your name will become a voice in helping save kids with Duchenne.

(Your addresses will NOT be shared with any other organization.)
